XConnect Vice President John Wilkinson Honored by Global Telecoms Business for Second Consecutive Year
Magazine lists executive among 40 under 40 telecoms leaders
John Wilkinson, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Products at XConnect, the leader in next-generation interconnection and ENUM-registry services, has been named by Global Telecoms Business as one of the top 40 telecoms executives under 40 years old.
This is his second consecutive year on this list of "the industry's young leaders of today and the leaders of tomorrow," compiled from nominations from readers and previous honorees. XConnect CEO Eli Katz received the distinction in 2009, when the list was created.
"We are delighted that Global Telecoms Business has recognized John's industry leadership once again," Katz said. "It is also a special milestone for XConnect to appear on this prestigious list for the third time in as many years."
Katz noted that Wilkinson, who has more than 15 years industry experience, has been instrumental in driving XConnect's growth and evolution since joining the company in 2008. Wilkinson's efforts contributed to a 90 percent revenue increase, based on traffic growth of 153 percent, for XConnect from 2009 to 2010. Most recently, he has played a key role in developing XConnect's global Video Interconnection Exchange (VIE), announced last week.
"I am honoured to receive this distinction from Global Telecoms Business, a highly regarded and influential publication that provides valuable insight on industry trends," Wilkinson said.

The 2011 honorees have been invited to present in a 40 under 40 summit and awards ceremony, to be held in London on Sept. 19 and 20.
